5K Through the Lavender

On July 11th my sister Emily, my neice Brianna and I did the 5K through the lavender in Mona. I'll tell you my time when I run one with a time I'm proud of but I ran the whole thing which is what I was going for so I was happy. We only got pictures of Brianna finishing because the camera was in the car so Emily had to finish to unlock the car:)

Emily & Brianna with their swag bags. Brianna was laughing at me for being unreasonably excited about these:) She was right they were kind of crappy but I was still excited about the free stuff...I think its a symptom of couponing:)

They had a pick-your-own lavender bouquet thing and I'm so mad because I came home and set mine on the counter and forgot about it for three days so it promptly died:(




I'm definatley getting some different shorts! I didn't realize how "12-year-old-boy" I look in these!

4th of July

For the Fourth of July we started out by going to the parade in Provo (along with the rest of the entire state!) Savannah wasn't scared by the loud stuff at all, instead she thought it was funny. Everytime a firetruck or canon would go by she would just laugh and laugh! Then we went home and watched a movie until we went to grandma bowen's house at 6 for birthday cake (she turned 82 on the fourth of july:) Then we went to my sister-in-law Tasha's family's fireworks show. They had a bounce house which Savannah loved, although she didn't even care about the fireworks! I was so mad I forgot my camera for the evening stuff but we had a lot of fun. David even came to the parade with us so I think that makes it a successful holiday!
